The Winniedel Story
Cancer is both highly personal and scientifically complex. Let’s end it, together.
Winniedel was created as a loving testament to the founder, Dr. Tandy Tipps’ father and mother-in-law who both died of cancer within six months of each other. Through Dr. Tandy Tipps' role as the former Department Administrator of the world's largest Phase 1 program at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and working with cancer centers, PIs and KOLs across the world she saw that even the most cutting-edge cancer research could fade into obscurity because of barriers to early phase trial launch in oncology and precision medicine research.
Our Mission
To help bring new, novel, and life-saving therapeutics to cancer patients sooner by applying our optimized SSU model and the GOSU to accelerate results, as well as proven and agile development processes to trials, saving biotech developers time and money.
How Do We Make Cancer History?
By leveraging an extensive global network of deep-rooted professional contacts, Winniedel is capable of marrying the personal and the scientific to expedite the process of matching your trial to the right trial site and the right patients.
Patients As The Priority
At the heart of oncology clinical research are the patients who need novel innovations in cancer treatment. Clinical trials can provide them with life-saving therapeutics, even as a drug continues development. Every time there are delays in SSU and FPI, it negatively affects the lives of cancer patients who are waiting on a potential cancer treatment. Winniedel is deeply committed to matching the right sites and the right patients to the right oncology trials, while decreasing both SSU and FPI timelines, as well as the failure rate we currently see in cancer drug development.
Over 44% of clinical trials are delayed during study start-up. Let’s change that.
About Our Founder
Dr. Tandy Tipps, MED, MPA, PhD, is the former Department Administrator in Investigational Cancer Therapeutics (the largest Phase 1 program in the world) at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She has held executive roles in global CRO and biopharma ecosystems and has extensive experience in phase FIH/III oncology trials, as well as strong relationships with leading academic, IDN, and community-based research centers across the globe.
But she is more than that. Dr. Tipps is a 5th generation Texan and also considers herself to be a New Yorker due to the long time she spent living in Manhattan and her love of NYC. She often says that "no one would know that I was not from NYC when I am there until I speak and then they can tell that I do not have a NYC accent!" She is an avid cyclist; a lover of rock concerts; involved in animal rescue; has traveled all over the world (loves to travel); enjoys working in the yard and being outside; enjoys reading non-fiction books and listening to heavy metal; dislikes cold weather and loves the water especially when it involves a jet ski; values kindness, relationships and being truthful and upfront.
